HES fieldwork

As part of my traineeship with Historic Environment Scotland, I took part in fieldwork in Kilmartin, working with various HES properties. I gained valuable on-site experience with photogrammetry and laser-scan data capture, working closely with both the Digital Innovation and Documentation teams.

Alongside the team, I was responsible for the scanning of various 'cup and ring' rock carvings. Examples of the finished scans can be found on Sketchfab links below.

Additionally, I worked with the collection of decorative stone grave slabs at Kilmartin Parish Church. We worked to capture both the internals and externals of the structure and the slabs within.
